THE SYMBOLISM OF THE LION OF JUDAH
Written by rascast on 25th May 2016
The lion of Judah has long been a symbol of bravery, nobility and strength. The book of Genesis recalls Judah was the forth son of Jacob and Leah. Jacob was renamed Israel in the biblical texts. This is the first mention of the lion where Jacob gave Judah a special blessing. The sceptre shall not depart from Judah nor the rulers staff from between his feet.
Revelation 5;5 Then one of the Elders said to me, weep not see the lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David has triumphed and opened the 7 seals.
The symbolism of the lion is one of courage strength and leadership reminding us that no matter what life throws at us ,we have the power within ourselves to overcome it.
